The steps of the analysis

This section illustrates the various steps of the analysis into which Easy HVSR divides it.

As can be clearly seen, the graphical interface of Easy HVSR is essentially divided into two parts that can be resized according to the user's needs: one for numerical data input and output (on the left) and the other for the graphical display of the results and of the choices made during the analysis process (to learn more about this section, go to the Charts section of this guide).

The panel on the left of the application window is divided into pages that can be recalled through the tabs located on the far left. The pages are organized so that each one corresponds to a phase into which, as mentioned above, Easy HVSR divides the entire analysis process. Each phase is necessary for the next one, although in some cases, better specified further on, some of the choices that the user should make in later phases are anticipated with default choices.

The analysis phases are 4 and they are:

General data and traces input phase

Time window identification phase

Window selection and spectral analysis phase

H/V spectral ratio analysis and stratigraphy identification phase

The following sections illustrate these phases consistently with the pages of the left-hand panel, explaining the various meanings of each field present therein, consistently with the entire analysis process.
